V International Conference

“FEmale Creations in Literary and Intercultural Education” (V CICELI)

September 3-5, 2026

Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB, Brazil)

The 5th International Conference on Creativity in Literary and Intercultural Education (V CICELI) aims to promote studies, debates and actions focused on valuing creativity and the leading role of women in education, bringing together national and international experts on gender, literature, arts and intercultural education issues. The event focuses on the study of women poets, playwrights and storytellers, whose works are part of educational projects in schools, federal institutes, universities and non-formal teaching spaces, contributing to more equitable and representative educational practices. The initiative is particularly relevant in light of Law No. 14,986/2024, which establishes the mandatory inclusion of women’s experiences and perspectives in basic education curricula, with an emphasis on the historical, artistic and cultural aspects of Brazil and the world. For this reason, the V CICELI proposes to broaden the dialogue on female authors and creators from the Global South and welcomes research that discusses cinematographic works, visual arts and literary characters from the perspectives of gender, ecocriticism and social justice, contributing to the training of teachers and researchers committed to plural and inclusive education. Furthermore, it is aligned with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, especially the Sustainable Development Goals of the “People” axis (SDGs 1 to 5).
